2018 New Year’s Ceremony to be held Sunday March 18th, 2018
The Rosicrucian Tradition has always fixed the beginning of the new year at the spring equinox, because it marks the end of winter and the beginning of a new natural cycle. In the Northern Hemisphere, it corresponds to the revival of Nature. It is at this time that the trees and flowers regain their vitality and give the landscape a resplendent beauty. It is at this precise moment when the Sun enters the zodiacal sign of Aries that our Order places the official beginning of the Rosicrucian New Year.
In Lodges, Chapters, and Pronaoi around the world, the Rosicrucian New Year is celebrated by a ritual symbolizing the special bonds that unite humans to Nature and to the Divine. This is indeed an ideal occasion to meditate on our relationship with natural and divine laws. Our physical body, for example, is an admirable synthesis of the principles that rule the mineral, vegetable, and animal kingdoms. As for our soul personality, it is in itself an emanation of the universal Soul. Every human being is therefore of a dual nature, and it is in this duality that resides the foundation of our spiritual evolution.
To illustrate the previous remarks; on this date we conduct a very simple but ancient ritual of our Order.
Come join with us on this special day. Afterwards you can share in a pot-luck dinner with your fellow members.
Remember we are located at 8458 Frankford Avenue in Philadelphia, PA 19136 and our phone number is 215-332-4160. The doors open around 1:00 PM and the ceremony will start at 2:00 PM.
