This is a computer altered image of a Red Poppy, to create this Pink Poppy.
The Pink Poppy I use here is to to recognize the countless millions of people who are non-combatants who have died as the result of all wars, and armed conflicts.
Civilian deaths out strip the deaths of armed combatants every time. The deaths include: babies, toddlers, children, adolescents, adults, senior citizens, Mothers, Fathers, Grandparents, Great Grandparents, Husbands, Wives, Brothers, Sisters, Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Friends.
They die from starvation, exposure, lack of clean water, disease, and from direct death from the weapons of war: gun fire, bombs, artillery, murder by enemy combatants, and War Crimes and Crimes against Humanity.
Farms, factories, homes, villages, towns, cities are often reduced to rubble. Churches, Synagogues Temples. Mosques, Cathedrals, Mandirs, Gurudwara, meant places of Worship were people go to worship the “God of their Heart” can be destroyed.
I apologize if I have left out places and their names that are significant to peoples places of worship. I will add more if brought to my attention.
All forms of life including wild life, domesticated animals, farm animals die as a result of war. The natural environment is destroyed.
All wars kill, not only armed combatants are killed, in Canada we have Remembrance Day, symbolized by a Red Poppy to pay tribute and remembrance for those who have died while serving their country in times of war and conflict.
But what of the innocents? The civilians of all ages who die as a result of war and armed conflicts, what of all life forms that are also lost, what of our environment the Earth the only planet we have to live on that is scared by the actions during wars and armed conflict, when do we come together remember these losses?
I suggest we remember and more importantly send out thoughts of Peace, Love, Harmony, Kindness, and Health to all humanity and all life, and our Planet Home on November 13th, every year (if not daily). For this day I will use a Pink Poppy, as a symbol to represent this undertaking. Why pink you may ask, this is from the Internet,
“What does the color pink represent spiritually? In various spiritual practices, pink is believed to represent love, compassion, and inner peace. It is believed to have a soothing effect on the mind and can help individuals connect with their emotions and inner selves. Pink is also said to have a healing energy, promoting harmony and balance in one's life.”
So I simply ask you visualize the Planet Earth, being a place of Profound Peace, of place of Profound Love, a place of Profound Compassion, a place of Profound Healing, and Profound Harmony, inspiring all Humanity to love their neighbour, and live in accordance with the Golden Rule.
We can do this individually if you chose by visualizing our Planet Home Earth as though seen from space, see it first as it is always pictured from space as the Blue Jewel it is, then using concentrated thought see it changing from blue into a gorgeous pink, a pink so perfect that it takes your breath away, when you have achieved this visualize the “Golden Rule” as it is most meaningful to you, emblazoned across the face of the Pink Earth, in letters of the purest Gold you can mentally assay, and further these words and their meaning that is most important to you, reaching the hearts and minds of all Humanity.
Hold this image, until you feel it is time to release it, and then from the top, down see the screen of your minds eye filling with the most sublime pure LIGHT, extending out filling all planes, all of creation with its LIGHT.
