One of the many techniques I experiment with to expand awareness is music and vibration.  Lately I have been applying our vowel sounds to the Solfeggio Harmonics concept.  It's still too early to draw definite conclusions but experimenting sure is fun on many levels.  If you're new to Solfeggio, here is an example https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gBrocj_s-wE And while you are at it check out the "Big Bang" sound file I attached and see how listening to that shifts your perception and awareness.

  • A technique that I often use is to ignore everything but the AUM Sound.  I imagine that the AUM sound is all encompassing, penetrating and vibrating all around me in and throughout everything while focusing on the space at center of chest and between the eyes.

  • Frater Terence thank you for the Solfeggio.  Deeply Penetrating thus far!!

    Peace Profound, Frater Donald

  • Good Stuff here.  Frater Ron yes I have used this technique and it has worked many times.

One technique is to concentrate on the Christ Consciousness center at a position about 1 inch above where the bridge of the nose meets the forehead.

  • one technique that I apply is performing a meditation starting from the toes, through the lower legs, to upper legs, then to the fingers and arms, into trunk, to the head with the mantra, I am not these..., I am the Divine Spiritual Being. Created in that image, you are one and the same. I hope this is beneficial and self awakening :)

  • Ive had success picturing my awareness extending outside the physical limits of my body. Im brand new here so I haven't started the techniques used in our path yet, but this is a particular interest of mine. For me picturing my conciousness next to me or slightly above my head is how I started. Not sure we're talking about the same thing.
